Description

FRENCH DRAGOON OFFICER'S CUIRASS AND HELMET. 19th century. Cuirass, brass on steel, manufactured by Klingenthal in the Alsace region of France. Breast plate, dated 1834 no. 841, backplate dated 1832. Shoulder straps of brass link with leather strap and belt. Helmet manufactured by Delachaussee, with beige horsehair plume.

Condition

Condition: Cuirass highly polished with lacquered finish, nice interrior patina. Helmet minor dings, polished and lacquered and missing interrior lining. Leather is replaced on both helmet and cuirass.
