Parian Figural Ice Skaters 

Continental, 19th century. A pair of Parian ice skaters in eighteenth century dress, one depicting a female throwing a snowball, the other portraying a man gliding midstride, each painted with lifelike details and embellished with gilt floral accents, presented on round bases with snow covered pillars and icicles hanging from the edges, the undersides with unidentified blue marks; largest ht. 25.5 in.
