A document box of rectangular form, having a flat lid with leather hinges and a brass handle, the exterior covered in red and green leather with an iron lock and brass tack decoration, the interior lined with maps of Maine, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York, and Connecticut, the underside inscribed Timothy H(?) 1836; ht. 4.25, wd. 10, dp. 5.25 in.Â
