American Pewter TeapotsÂ
American, (new England) 19th century. Two pewter teapots, the first, a teapot with eagle touch, "A. Griswold" mark (Ashbil Griswold, Meriden Connecticut, 1802-1842). Good form with a domed lid and paneled spout and handle;  ht. 7.5 in., and an unmarked teapot, ca 1835,  having tooled rings on the foot and body with a domed lid, scrolled ear wooden handle; ht. 7.5 in.

Condition
Griswold teapot missing wooden heat guard below finial, seam of spout coming open, small dents and wear to bottom. Unmarked teapot with repainted handle, replaced heat guard, dents to lip rim and spout.
