Description
Hopi Koshare/Clown Kachina by Homer Yoyetewa. Traditional koshare kachina, carved from native cottonwood trees and decorated in the native style. The piece measures 14'' x 6'' x 3.5'' and signed by the late artist, Homer Yoyetewa from Second Mesa. It is exceptionally rare to see a doll this old signed by the carver. Homer was a featured artist at the Hopi Show, Museum of Northern Arizona, in 1980. Also, he continued to carve until his death, in 2006.
