TWO LARGE GERMAN BISQUE KEWPIES. Marks: O’Neill (incised feet); copyright sticker back of largest doll. 10” and 8 ½”. Each is all-bisque standing Kewpie, jointed shoulders, glazed blonde topknot, forelock and side curls, blue wings, painted Kewpie features, wonderful blushing detail. Commentary: Fine quality bisque and painting, each has inherent light gray firing stress mark back of neck between the wings, 10” doll has two right posing arms, otherwise excellent condition.
