Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chavin culture, Santa Ana style, ca. 500 BCE. Chavin visual culture represents the first widespread artistic style of the Andes. Beautiful pottery vessel depicting a reclining camelid, with head raised high and turned to one side and legs drawn tightly alongside the body, a large wide spout protruding from the back, with black and white detailing on red ground. 7-1/2"L x 5"H x 4-1/2"D
