Pre-Columbian, Tairona, Columbia or Venezuela, ca. 1000-1500 CE. This functioning pottery ocarina depicts a deity seated on a jaguar throne, wearing an elaborate headdress with feathers and ornaments, fanciful necklace and collar and armlets. He sits on a throne with two exquisitely detailed jaguar heads, each decorated with incised lines and dots. A similar example is published in The Shamanic World View Exhibit, Cantor Arts Center, Stanford University. Custom, museum-quality stand included. 3.75"H x 3.5"W at widest point x 1.5"D
