Germany, Circa 1860.
Large curtain with a smaller, upper curtain (Kaporet).
Velvet curtain, adorned with gold and silver threaded embroideries, lions and the two tables of the covenant, with metal bells.
The upper curtain is embroidered with the words “Kodesh La-Hashem”.

Curtain - 138cm X 177cm / 54.3in X 69.68in.
Upper Curtain - 42cm X 147cm / 16.53in X 57.87in.

Condition

Minor tears, the curtain and the Kaporet were professionally restored in the "Eretz Israel Museum" in Tel-Aviv.
