Description
This striking sculpture by American Jason Seley was created from Cadillac bumpers pieces welded together creating two identical forms joined tightly. Seley ( 1919-1983 ) was a student of Zadkine at the Arts Students League in New York and eventually became dean of the college of Architecture, Arts and Planning at Cornell University. Sculpture has the raised weld signature SELEY and probably dates from the 1960's or 70's. This sculpture can stand vertically on its own, as well as a number of positions horizontally.This is a large sculpture measuring approximately 22 inches by 22 inches by 33 inches long. The weight is approximately 75 pounds.
Condition
Excellent. There are the dents and normal dings that existed on the bumpers when Mr. Seley collected them from the automobiles.
