A George III ebonised table clock, Thomas Moss, London, circa 1800, the five pillar twin fusee bell striking movement with anchor escapement and border engraved shouldered backplate signed Tho's Moss, Ludgate Streey, LONDON, 317 to lower margin, the 7 inch white painted Roman numeral break-arch dial with repeat signature to centre and brass hands beneath subsidiary STRIKE/SILENT selection dial to arch, the single pad top break-arch case with brass handle above brass fillet inset glazed front door and arched brass fishcale sound frets to sides, on cavetto moulded skirt base with brass ball feet, 38cm (15ins) high excluding handle.
