A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI ORMOLU AND WHITE MARBLE SCULPTURAL THREE-LIGHT CANDELABRA, LATE 18TH CENTURY, in the form of a young Dutch boy and girl, each holding up a flowerpot with a blossoming tulip, each raised on a circular white marble pedestal mounted with oak-leaf and acorn garlands, a gilt-bronze laurel-wreath encircles the base; the children, the garlands, the flower pots, the plant body as well as the open and closed flower buds were cast separately, height with base: 49 cm (19 1/4 in.)
PROVENANCE
In the family collection of the present owner since the early 20th century.
