1032. HANK WILLIAMS (1923-1953). Legendary country music singer and songwriter who enjoyed mainstream popular success in his brief career with hits like "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "I'm So Lonesome, I Could Cry." Boldly penciled signature with sentiment beside his photograph and printed name on top half-page of complete "Official Picture Album for KRLD's Big 'D' Jamboree," 8½"x11", ca. 1950. Additionally signed by other performers including PAPPY HALL HORTON; SLIM WHITMAN; JIMMY DICKENS; AL DEXTER and MERLE TRAVIS. The page featuring Williams above photographs of two other performers is in excellent condition. Colorful cover evidences moderate wear and is rubbed and torn at bottom left corner; spine repaired with clear tape. Traveling throughout the West, the Big 'D' Jamboree featured the best Country and Western musicians and performers in live concerts, including stars such as Roy Rogers, Chet Atkins and Hank Snow.
