Continental body, likely French, 1st half of 20th C.
Illegible Hallmarks, with Swiss and French marks, ‘DEPOSE’, ‘935’, a star, and a ‘H’ and a ‘S’ with a brewer star in a medallion
Dimensions: 3.5” x 3.5” (diameter x depth)
Good aesthetic condition, not in working order

This novelty umbrella clock features a cobalt blue guilloché enamel. Its face has gilt Arabic numerals and delicate gilt flowers as time markers. The stem of the umbrella has a ribbed pattern with a rounded ball tip. The stem turns to wind-up the movement of the clock.

The surface of the enamel and the gilt stem are in good condition with minor traces of age and wear. The arms of the clock are loose and do not adjust with the movement of the clock. An overhall is recommended at the buyer's expense. The movement is Swiss made, and the stem of the umbrella has illegible French hallmarks. It is marked, ‘DEPOSE’, ‘935’, with a star, as well as a ‘H’ and a ‘S’ with a brewer star in a medallion. The clock is a 3.5” x 3.5” (diameter x depth).
