It started as a series for the "Tarzan-like" hero known as Tharn, whom was the star of the first Jungle Action series.
Tharn is also the name of a short-lived fictional Jungle Hero in the Marvel Comics universe, published with the name "Lo-Zar" by Atlas Comics in the 1950s, and reprinted with the name "Tharn" in Jungle Action comics by Marvel in the 1970s.
Lorna the Jungle Girl, initially called Lorna the Jungle Queen, is a comic book jungle girl protagonist created by writer Don Rico and artist Werner Roth.
Jann was created by writer Don Rico and artist Art Peddy in the anthology title Jungle Tales #1 (Sept. 1954), published by Marvel Comics' 1950s.
