Introduction by Anthony Rota, number 69 of 100 copies on hand-made paper , engraved title-vignette and 25 engraved sheets comprising 12 plates, 5 maps, 4 head- & 4 tail-pieces by Rex Whistler, the plates hand-coloured, loose as issued in original half viridian morocco drop-back box, with a proof pull of the tail-piece to Part III printed in green by Enschedé loosely inserted, Harrison's for H.M.Fletcher, 1970; and a bundle of trial proofs on different papers of the title vignette and 2 plates, and page proofs of the introduction (one with corrections in pencil), large 4to (2) The proof printed in green has a note at foot in pencil: "When my father was looking for a printer for these plates he took this to Enschedé in Holland where this pull was taken 'while he waited'. (Their quote was too expensive - but the quality of this 'rough' pull is superb). KRF."
