Founded by Alexander Belenson in 1915, Strelets provides an excellent insight into the Russian Avant-Garde movement of the time, and in particular Hylaea group, most of whom's members are represented in this anthology and the second collection published in 1916. The two issues proved divisive both inside & outside the futurist movement itself, in part due to the eroticism and anti-semitic contributions by Mayakovsky and Rozanova respectively.
