(2) FRAMED STEVENOGRAPH RIBBONS - Thomas Stevens (1828-1888), woven pictorial #169 "Are You Ready", depicting the 15 March, 1883 win of Oxford over Cambridge in rowing; PLUS #179 "Called to the Rescue", commemorating the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute), both in the original frames and with the captioned mats as issued. OS: 8" x 11", SS: 2" x 6". Fading to mats, otherwise good, silk still has good color.
