Paul Lacroix, più conosciuto sotto gli pseudonimi di P. L. Jacob, Bibliophile, o di le Bibliophile Jacob, (1806– 1884), è stato uno scrittore, giornalista, bibliotecario, poligrafo ed erudito francese.

Beautifully bound in half-leather. Illustrated throughout with 15 spectacular full-page chromolithographs, plus a staggering 440 in-text engravings. The corners are a little worn. Hinges are strong, text is clean and tight throughout. An absolutely gorgeous account of life in the Middle Ages and Renaissance manners, costumes, etc.. Very good copy.
