Description
ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PORCELAIN COALPORT OR COALPORT-TYPE TEAPOT, 19TH CENTURY, ovular panel-molded and prow-form with flat c-form handle, domed cover topped by a ring handle, the sides and cover painted with gilt bands, bracketing a band of undulating orange and iron-red between thin red lines, and gilt flowering leaves and stems. Pattern number 413 to the underside in gold. Possibly by Anstice, Horton & Rose; possibly by John Rose; and possibly by a Coalport imitator. Circa 1805. 5 3/4" H.

Condition
Moderate condition, with a crack to the side on a diagonal to the foot, and a very light star crack to the base underside. Normal gilding wear to the molded curling area to hold the lid in place.
