“City of New Brunswick” Three Pence Note The Single Finest PMG Certified About Uncirculated-55 “EPQ”
New Jersey. March 10, 1796. Three Pence. “City of New Brunswick.” PMG graded About Uncirculated-55 Exceptional Paper Quality.
This note is in impressive, superior quality for any issue of New Jersey small change notes. The private New Jersey Colonial era issue is listed in Eric Newman’s reference, “The Early Paper Money of America” on page 267. This example is clean and well printed in dark black upon crisp, clean period paper. There are four full to huge margins on both its face and back. The “Printed by A. Blauvelt” line is found on the lower central reverse within the double decorative typeset outer borders. An exceptional opportunity being vastly superior in quality to the Newman plate illustration. The Single Finest Note Certified by PMG.
