Large French Hinged Box with Romantic Scene

Item Details

Description

The lid is ornately decorated with a romantic scene of a young man playing a flute to a lovely girl with a basket of fruits. It is artist signed "A. Max" and is a combination of hand painting and transfer print. The scrolled edges and bottom front and back trims are in raised gold. The metal rim is gold tone as well. It measures approximately 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 3" high. There is a hallmark on the bottom (blue underglaze). Excellent condition. Shipping within Continental USA $15.00 plus insurance. No Reserve auction means that as soon as the first bid is placed the item will be sold - no hidden pricing.
