A Chinese Export Lacquer Box, 19th century, black lacquer box with gold and red lacquer painting, the top of the box with harbor scene, the sides decorated with scenes of tea production, interior monogrammed "I.O." between bamboo sprays, lined with stamped metal box decorated with men in a garden, with lock and keyhole, key missing, chips to lacquer at corners, edges, and inner box lid edge, lacquer cracking at corners, rubbing to box lid, scratches on base, approx. 10 1/2 by 20 1/2 cm, 4 1/8 by 8 in.
