A Pair of Chinese Silver Cloisonne Pierced Boxes, Qing dynasty, tall oval shaped boxes with pierced windows on one side depicting a pair of cranes among a flowering plum tree, bamboo and lingzhi mushrooms, the other side depicting a pair of deer among a pine tree, bamboo, and lingzhi mushrooms with a bat and moon in the sky, a floral meander band flanks the foot and rim of the lid, the top of the lid and base depicts a scene of cranes among lotus and a three-legged toad, painted with turquoise, yellow, white and purple enamels, both with black patina, each approx, 12 by 7 cm, 4 5/8 by 2 7/8 in.
