This black and white photograph was taken in 1968 by Werner Bokelberg. It shows Romy Schneider in front of the Cartier boutique in Bond Street in London. Romy Schneider (1938-1982), the Austrian movie actress who became famous for her role as ‘Sissi‘, is smiling vividly and holding her white large hat that is blown away by the wind.



The photograph verso bears the photographer's signature and date in pencil ‘Bokelberg 1968/2001’, as well as a red copyright stamp. The photograph is in very condition. The depiction measures 34.5 x 51.1 cm and the dimensions of the sheet are 50.4 x 60.1 cm.



Werner Bokelberg (b. 1937)

The photographer Werner Bokelberg worked for the German weekly news magazine Stern during the 1960s and 1970s. He portrayed Uschi Obermaier, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol and many other celebrities. Later he worked as a commercial photographer and participated in many major commercial campaigns.
