The present flintlock pistol comes from Turkey and was made in the 17th century??. It has a typical form and consists of a wooden body, in which are embedded a flintlock and an iron barrel. The pistol is adorned with elegantly curved brass fittings on the knob, and a trigger guard, which is also made of brass.
The pistol shows usual wear marks, including some losses in the wood along the barrel and the handle. The attachment of the flintlock is missing, as well as parts of the brass fittings. The wood is partly chipped. The pistol has an overall length of 49 cm.
