Fancy English sterling hinged lidded box lofted on legs with hooves and laurel garlands connecting. The lid is embossed with a gent wearing ice skates pushing a woman seated in a sled. Measures 3 1/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches across. Marks include a Rampant Lion, BM in rectangle, small letter “n”, .925, scroll letter E and a sprig in an oval, possibly the import symbol impressed on the box rim. The cover is impressed “.925” with a scroll E letter. Troy ounces 3.54. Excellent handsome condition.
