Beautiful brooch pendant of the finest craftsmanship

The present brooch pendant of the late 19th century impresses by the extremely fine amethyst cameo showing an antique-like woman portrait in the profile. The long hair of the woman is richly adorned with grapes and a diadem. The woman wears a tunic, her left shoulder being uncovered. The portrait is surrounded by 12 stylized leaves set with 20 old cut diamonds with a total weight of about 0.78 carat.

The brooch is in very good overall condition, showing only minor wear. The dimensions are 5 x 4 cm, and the overall weight is approximately 23 grams.
