Description
A rare poster designed by Robert Rauschenberg (American, 1925-2008) to support the landmark AIDS benefit "Dancing for Life," a performance by 13 dance companies organized by Jerome Robbins and held at the New York State Theatre in October, 1987. The poster depicts four dancers in top center within a light beige border. The upper two dancers are printed in brick red and their reflections below are printed in dark blue. The poster reads "Dancing For Life / New York State Theatre / Oct. 5-87 / Rauschenberg" and includes publication information in small print at the bottom. United States, ink on paper mounted on stiff cardboard, printed by Universal Limited Art Editions. Dimensions: approx. 38-3/4" H x 22' W.
Condition
Very good overall. Some minor crinkling to lower right corner.
