We are pleased to offer this large lot of Vintage and Modern Vintage Religious items. This lot includes a gorgeous new in gift box bookmark from the Vatican Library. This Authentic Historic Recreation appears to be gold plated but is unmarked, it has a pink Wedgwood inspired design and tiny pink crystals and includes the original literature in a large padded gift box. There is a large vintage signed tack pin of an Angel with a dangling bell done in two tone brushed gold by Gigio Giusti and a vintage adjustable lightweight heart ring with the BVM in blue on the front. There is a dark goldtone Eastern Cross Pendant, heavily weighted and still sealed in the bag; it has five glowing orange simulated stones embedded and is quite thick at 5mm wide/deep. There is another blue BVM on a heart shaped silvertone and Mother of Pearl Pendant. The outside rim of this pendant is studded with tiny beads and several are missing. There are two more cross pendants-one is a colorful Jesus done in a very modern style and finished with a Lucite(over base metal) and the other is silvertone with inset turquoise and a single orange square(s) in shiny foil and lucite - both have chains with the pendants. There are two more small collar tacks-one is a holiday wreath saying Jesus is the Reason for the Season, the other is A.C.E. Alaska in shiny lucite on the original card and there is another itsy bitsy cross with no function in what appears to be very thin brass or faux gold with a large eye in the center. Saving some of the best for last we have an understated but beautiful pair of earrings in the form of crosses, these are modern pierced with sparkling black rhinestones and a japanned shiny finish. Also a brand new Damascene Cross Necklace with inlaid 24k & 18k gold and the original QVC paperwork. The final piece is again understated but classic, a Rhinestone cross Brooch with high quality crystals set in brass. We date this gorgeous piece to the turn of the century Victoria era, late 1800s to early 1900s. This stunning brass brooch features fair sized crystal rhinestones that are carefully prong set by hand. This brooch has a non-safety open c-clasp with a long pin, we date it to the late 1800s. The cross brooch is a piece that can be passed down and could stand on its own without the rest of the lot.
