Item Details

Description

Two early 20th century stickpins, the first designed as a central red gem within a blue and white enamel halo, the second with a knot designed terminal set with a rose-cut diamond. Lengths 6.1 and 6.6cms. Weight 2.4gms. With case.

Condition

Overall fair to good condition, with light surface scratches from general wear. The first stickpin is believed to be silver gilt and the gilt is rubbing off in areas. The red gem has one small chip to a side facet. The enamel has some light surface scratches. The second stickpin has a slight bend to the stick and has areas of tarnishing. The diamond is in good condition and is quite bright and lively considering its size and setting. The case shows moderate to heavy wear in places, the clasp closes fine.
