Description
A very rare and charming Wedgwood Majolica strawberry server and spoon, modeled as a rectangular low bowl of twig with a circular cream and sugar pot holder at each end, bound with French blue ribbon and an arched twig handle decorated with strawberry leaves and a large French blue bow. The bowl beneath is decorated with a brightly glazed bunch of strawberry plants and strawberries. The sugar holder modeled as a barrel with pink interior and the creamer as a water can with French blue ribbon and green leaves. All on a bright turquoise ground. The spoon with a bowl of green leaves, strawberry plant, and turquoise twig handle with blue ribbon. This design is rarely seen and this is the only one known turquoise example.
