Description
A pair of Minton Majolica mantle vases c.1855, each of baluster form and molded in high relief with ochre-glazed foliate swags and three naturalistic a satyrs-masks on a ground glazed in turquoise-blue above white glazed gadrooning around the lower body and circular foot, with the interior glazed in pink. Impressed, shape no 640, 13”h. A pair of similar vases sold at Sotheby’s, English Majolica, March 1997.
