Ivory. China, late Qing-Dynasty, approx. 1900 to 1st third 20th cent.
She is the goddess of flowers and one of the eight immortals, known locally as Lan Caihe. Her attribute is the basket of flowers. She has a tall, elegant figure and wears a floor-length robe. Her hair is towered tall and holds a blower on one side. Fine facial features, overall appealing quality, some minor faults. The immortal stands on an oval wooden lotus pedestal.
