E. Howard & Co. No. 70 Wall Regulator. Original 12 in. painted metal dial marked “Penna. R.R. – 617”, has painted black spade hands and black Roman hour numerals; brass weight driven time only movement No. 59 signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has a long ebonized wood pendulum stick with a damascened brass covered bob, brass lockdown hardware in the wood weight baffle and good iron weight with brass pulley. In an oak case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. In very good condition, case has a nice cleaned & enhanced original finish, no breaks or repairs to the case, weight baffle is replaced, original glass in good overall condition with some red inpainting, dial has very minor inpainting around the screw holes and winding hole. 31.5 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 4.75 in. deep.
