Description

Winged or Butterfly Barrel Bannerstone made from a porous stone which at some point had a black finish. Bannerstones were possibly used on the end of spears as weights, but this is currently debated. The item is late Archaic or Early Woodlands. 4.75 inches wide, 3.5 inches tall.
