This Zitan wood carving Guanyin statue is of blackish-purple color tone, its fibers are compacted with fine texture of the wood grain. Finely carved with The Buddha of Guanyin standing on a Buddha seat which has lucid ganoderma pattern on edge, his lappet of robe is flying in the wind, but he is standing firmly and erectly, gravely and solemnly. 紫檀木雕观音站像。 崔豹《古今注》有记载，时称“紫檀木，出扶南，色紫，亦谓之紫檀”。明代（公元1368——1644），紫檀为皇家所重视。此件紫檀雕件取材硕大，木质紧实，脂质丰富，纹理美观，颜色纯正。精雕观音衣着锦饰宽袍，一手捻袖一手掐诀，立于灵芝云纹佛台之上，衣带翩飞，法相庄严。Condition: Good
