Description
Two gem-set rings. To include a late Victorian 18ct gold rose-cut diamond and replacement blue-gem ring, together with a mid 20th century blue zircon single-stone ring. The first with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1889. Total weight 4.8gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age/general wear. Evidence of resizing to the first, with significant dents to the back of the band. Replacement blue-gems possibly garnet-topped doublet and paste, fairly well matched, differ slightly in colour saturation and hue. Zircon blue, moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair to good condition, some with minor abrasion, some with significant abrasion and nibbles. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones. Due to the nature of the rose-cut it is not possible to calculate an accurate diamond weight. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamond in good condition with some abrasion. Ring sizes N1/2 and J1/2. The second stamped 18ct Pall.
