Working with the master printer Ken Tyler, Frank Stella was able to create complicated mixed-media prints that resembled sculptures. This very large etching and aquatint with carborundum and relief printing on TGL handmade extends 59 1/2 x 49 3/4 inches (151 x 126 1/2 cm). It was executed in 1984 and is signed, inscribed "AP VIII" and dated in pencil, lower left with full margins. From his series "Swann Engravings" and published by Tyler Graphics, Ltd., Mount Kisco, New York, with the blindstamp.

The artist’s works have been internationally exhibited. Stella has won numerous awards from renowned universities. Barack Obama recently awarded him with the National Medal of Arts.
