KAWS applies his famous crossed-out eyes is seen here on everyone's favorite yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. "KAWSBOB" was printed in an edition of 100 for his first solo museum show at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield, Connecticut.
This nine-color screenprint is signed, dated and numbered by KAWS and measures a perfect square at 20 x 20 inches. This particular print is hinged with acid free tape and is floating in a white wood frame.
KAWS (AMERICAN, 1974)
Born in New Jersey, Brooklyn-based artist and designer KAWS has exhibited his work internationally after he studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Beginning as a graffiti artist, KAWS has collaborated on commercials for A Bathing Ape, has had works included in exhibitions curataed by Pharrell Williams and has designed skateboards with Burton.
