the first on a square base raised on four scrolling foliage bracket supports, decorated throughout with openwork foliate scrolls and acorns, the top with four pennants at corners and central conical tower with large pennant; the second on a circular bases mounted with cabochon amethysts and a fully modeled bird, decorated throughout with whiplash scrolls and hung with four bells
the first with maker's mark M.S.B. and stamped 925, the second marked 800 three times on underside
