Description
H 11 in., diameter 9 in. This was an imperial Jun Yao vase used in the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty (15th Century). The base was marked 'Jan Fuk Kung' indicating that this vase was housed in the palace of Jan Fuk. It was blue inside and purple outside which was very difficult to achieve thsee two colors on the same vase. Jan Fuk Kung was built in the Ming Dynasty and this vase was carved with Jan Fuk Kung before firing indicating that this vase came from the Yongle Period to Xuande Period (1403-1435).
