The impressive Latin manuscript with splendid illuminations was made in Paris around 1270. It was written in dark brown and red ink on thin vellum, which is a very delicate and thin type of parchment made from unborn lambkin.

Condition

The leaf from the Book of John, chapters XIII to XVI from the New Testament, has unusually wide margins and is in very good condition without any blemishes. Few pin-size holes are only visible against light. Dimensions of leaf: 20 x 13 cm, text area: 14 x 10 cm.
