Percussion long rifle similar in style to a Kentucky/Pennsylvania long rifle. Lock plate etched with sporting scene behind hammer stamped C. BAKER. The 32.5"L octagonal barrel is stamped W. Berry, has a brass front and a steel rear sight, full length figured walnut stock with brass thimble and pipes and a brass muzzle cap. A modern repair near the second pipe which has a crack that extends to the other side where there is a 1.75" triangular loss. Missing the ramrod. Four brass escutcheons on stock including one with a spread winged eagle with a lower shield, a squirrel on a branch, and two small ovals. Brass butt plate and trigger guard have normal pitting and usage wear. Overall size is 49". Good condition in good working order.
