American Watch Co. model 1883 18 size special 17 jewel #10039131. A.W.C.Co stamped 14K and engraved “Presented to Dr. Platt by his Prince Edward Friends, June 2nd 99”. The movement sets on the pendant and starts but stops and the plate is engraved “Canadian Pacific Railway” inside a shield topped by a beaver. The multi colored porcelain face is marked A.W.W.Co. Waltham with hairlines and a chip at the dial edge that does not show with the case closed. The case is initialed on the back with the crown showing minor wear. The watch comes in a wooden Tissot pocket watch box."Dr. Platt was a physician and a member of the Canadian House of Commons in the town of Picton in the electoral district in Prince Edward county in Ontario, Canada; he represented the county from 1882-1891".
