This work derives from the hand of the painter Hans Brosch and originates in 1973. Brosch participated at the IX. Paris Biennial of Young Art in 1975, where the art historian Werner Spies paid great attention to the young artist, since he painted contrary to all expectations of an Eastern German artist according to the principles of Socialist Realism. His artistic work instead stands between figuration and abstraction.
The work is signed lower right ‘Brosch’ and verso dated with pen ‘1973’. It is overall in very good condition. The corners are minimally bumped with minor loss of color. Dimensions: 27.3 x 21.3 cm.
