Dated ''1886'' to verso of mirror, signed ''Eug Marioton'' to base of standing female figure (Eugene Marioton, 1854 - 1933 French), signed ''Milo(?)'' to fairy's skirt, a tableau in gilt-bronze depicting a beveled mirror-backed scrolling rocaille sleigh surmounted by a standing female figure holding aloft a bone bugle, preceded by an open seashell forming the sleigh's fore; a fairy seated within, the sleigh driven by a draped and grape-adorned putti holding the reigns to three reindeer with inset white bone antlers, mounted on a monumental white marble plinth with gilt bead molding, 26.75'' H x 15.75'' W x 71.5'' D, est: $70,000/90,000

Overall good condition. General rubbing, marks, scratches and oxidation commensurate with age. The plinth with scattered fleabite chips and nicks to edges; the largest .5'' long. A repaired chip to top of plinth (1.5'' x 1''); one corner with a .25'' area of fill.
