Description
The Coalport was the first porcelain factory in Coalbrookdale, Shropshire, England, founded by John Rose in 1795. This familiar "Indian tree" pattern, is in fact based on a Chinese rather than Indian prototypes, originated at Coalport, but since then variants have been also produced. Twenty one pieces: eight dessert plates, seven plate with undulating edges and six 6" smaller saucers.
