Description
A pair of Chinese export hand painted enameled Famille Rose porcelain covered jars depicting a rare courting scene with warrior seeking the attention of a maiden in window while his attendant watches with intrigue, keeping the horses from a distance. Border depicts deer, fish, peaches, knots, urns, vases, pedestals and floral blooms over lavender ground. Bottoms hold six character red zhuanshu Qianlong reign stamp mark. Crafted Circa late Qing to Early Republic period, early 20th century. Each measures approx. 9 1/4" height x 9" diameter. Total weight approx. 2096 grams.
