A black crepe dress with sequined collar, probably Lanvin, circa 1946, un-labelled, with wide angular shoulders, blue moss crepe collar with domed medallions of layered sequins and coloured pastes, with apron-like draped panel to the front skirt with integral pockets, bust 86cm, 34in A similar dress by Lanvin was photographed and reproduced in 'Femme Chic', Hiver, 1946 p18.

Good condition. Sequined decoration on collar is good, lacking the odd bead, the gold sequins are slightly tarnished, dull gold rather than bright gold. Tiny darned repair on front right of skirt and small repair to crepe at base of zip on rear closure. The centre front seam above front kick-split has been let out 27cm/10in but it rejoins the original seam line above
